State Humane Agents strong! The MFHS has State Humane Agents working in all 87 Minnesota counties on a daily basis, investigating animal abuse, cruelty and neglect. If you see suspected animal abuse or neglect,please call us at 612-861-1776 to report it immediately. While much of our work must remain confidential due to potential criminal charges, be assured we are out there everyday.

Minnesotan Michael Anthony Trudeau of Carver County has been charged with Felony Animal Cruelty for brutally killing his girlfriend’s cat 3 weeks before he brutally beat and choked her almost to death. Minnesotan Anthony Ryan Sather has been charged with Felony Cruelty to Animals for allegedly beating and then shooting his girlfriend’s dog to death, evidenced by a video tape of the alleged abuse and cruelty.To see a copy of the Criminal Complaint go the “Investigations” page above.
The Minnesota Board of Animal Health , a state agency, has begun to compile it’s list of breeders who will need to be licensed by the BAH next year. The list is now at 15 breeders, and can be seen on the BAH website: http://mn.gov/bah/media/licensed-cdcb.pdf If you know of anyone who is breedings dogs or cats who you think should be licensed, please call us and we will gather the information and forward it to the Board.
